The University of South Alabama recognizes that higher education is not readily available to all, which is why we believe it is essential to offer scholarships and other aid that can relieve the financial burden of college costs. One such opportunity is the Mitchell Scholars Program, which offers an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime scholarship opportunity to our motivated, outstanding undergraduate students in the Mitchell College of Business.
Students who are selected for this prestigious award receive a four-year $50,000 scholarship (as well as a laptop computer). They also will be assigned a faculty member as a professional mentor and will participate in leadership and teamwork development activities. International immersion experiences are held annually for our scholars, and a business internship or other experiential learning activity is required. We offer priority registration to our Mitchell Scholar students so they can maintain progress to their goals. Upon graduation, our Mitchell Scholars stand out as exceptional candidates for graduate school or the workforce.

I was very grateful and relieved because I would now have the opportunity to focus solely on developing myself to be the best student, leader, and person possible without the constant stress of paying an overwhelming amount of debt.”
